August was a month of success for Mega Heavy Haulage, as we completed two significant freight transport projects for Downer. Both projects involved complex wide load transport, requiring expert logistics and precision planning to ensure smooth execution.
Spring Gully to Seventeen Mile: Oversize Load Transport
Advantage Construction engaged us to move huts from Spring Gully, Queensland to Charters Seventeen Mile in North Queensland. This project involved wide load vehicles transporting oversize loads across more than 1,000 kilometers. With wide load requirements in mind, we coordinated our trusted sub-contractors and ensured that every stage of the process adhered to strict safety guidelines.
Our Project Manager, Steve Sandron, led the operation on-site, ensuring a smooth workflow. Over 10 days, we successfully completed 47 loads, achieving flawless transport execution—another success story for Mega Heavy Haulage!
Taloona to Grafton: Wide Load Transport with Precision
Our second project also involved a smaller camp demobilization for Origin, managed by Gerrard Building Pty Ltd. The journey from Taloona to Grafton, NSW required compliance with wide load requirements and coordination with local and state police. Despite the smaller scale, the freight transport logistics remained complex, with our team ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations. The move was completed seamlessly, reinforcing our reputation as leaders in oversize load transport.
